General

What does Bonne Vacances Travel Agency do?

We curate and manage travel — cruises, family vacations, luxury escapes, group getaways, and destination weddings. We handle the research, supplier calls, and booking so you can enjoy the fun part.

Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking online?

You get a real person to assist you, access to group space and promotions, and someone to call if the supplier changes something. We also help organize group payments and travel documents.

Passports & Identification

Do I need a passport to travel internationally?

Yes. All travelers — including infants and children — must have their own valid passport for international air travel.

For some closed-loop cruises (leaving and returning to the same U.S. port), U.S. citizens may use an original or certified birth certificate plus a government-issued photo ID, but we always recommend traveling with a passport.

How long should my passport be valid?

Many destinations require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. Please check this before you pay your deposit.

What ID do I need for domestic U.S. flights?

Beginning May 7, 2025, travelers 18+ must present a REAL ID–compliant driver’s license or another acceptable ID (such as a U.S. passport) to fly within the United States.

What identification do children 0–16 need?

Domestic travel: Children traveling with an adult whose identity can be verified usually do not have to show ID, but airlines may request a birth certificate to verify age (especially for lap infants).

International travel: Every child — no matter the age — must have their own passport. Some destinations and cruise lines may also require a notarized consent letter if the child is traveling with only one parent or another adult.

What if I’m entering the U.S. from another country?

Most non-U.S. citizens will need a valid passport and an appropriate visa, or must qualify for the Visa Waiver Program.

Does the name on my booking have to match my ID?

Yes. Your airline/cruise reservation must match your government ID or passport exactly. If you were recently married or changed your name, tell us before tickets are issued.

Traveler Responsibility: We provide these links as a courtesy. Government and airline rules can change without notice. It is the traveler’s responsibility to verify document, ID, and entry requirements before departure.

Planning Fees & Payments

Do you charge a planning fee?

Yes, for groups, destination weddings, and luxury/custom trips. This covers the time to research, design itineraries, manage guests, and communicate with suppliers.

Are planning fees refundable?

No. Planning fees are non-refundable because the work is completed even if you don’t travel.

Can I make payments over time?

Many cruises and group trips allow you to pay a deposit and make payments until the final due date. We will tell you the exact deadline on your confirmation.
